Fairchild Semiconductor Divests LED Product Lines

Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. of South Portland, Maine, has sold its LED and LED display product lines to Everlight International Corp., a US subsidiary of Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. of Taipei, Taiwan. Fairchild will retain and further develop its optocoupler and infrared products. As part of the agreement, it will assist Everlight with associated customer sales and support for a period of time. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
