LIA Establishes Michigan Chapter
The Laser Institute of America, based in Orlando, Fla., has formed the Michigan Chapter, which encompasses participation from the supporting states of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio and the province of Ontario, Canada. The goal of the organization is to create a forum for networking in the Great Lakes region and abroad for laser end users, safety officers, researchers, company presidents, and manufacturers of lasers and related products. Part of its mission also is to provide education for members. The chapter will hold bimonthly meetings throughout the area that will feature guest speakers or factory tours.
