Science Applications Wins Contract from NASA

NASA has chosen Science Applications International Corp., based in San Diego, to provide support for Goddard Space Flight Center’s Ocean Color research programs. The company will support the Ocean Biology Processing Group, which handles sea-viewing, wide-field-of-view sensors and moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer/aqua ocean color data products, and related operations.

Its other activities will include research investigations funded by NASA and tasks related to the development of lunar reflectance models and satellite calibration methods.

Science Applications will receive a five-year cost-plus-award fee for an indefinite delivery/quantity task order contract with a maximum value of $30 million. The work will be performed at the center and the company’s facility, both in Beltsville, Md.
