e2v Receives 12th Queen's Award
e2v Technologies' Imaging Sensors Group, based in Essex, England, was granted its 12th Queen's Award for Enterprise, this year in recognition of innovation in product design and manufacture of imaging sensors and cameras used in aerospace, medical and scientific imaging systems. The systems are used in e2v's L3Vision CCD sensors. The technology allows high-resolution imaging for astronomical, surveillance, reconnaissance and security applications and is supplied either as sensors for integration into customers' camera systems or as complete cameras. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious awards for businesses. The awards are made each year by the queen, on the advice of the prime minister and an advisory committee of government, industry and commerce, and trade unions representatives.
