Positive Light and Coherent Settle Dispute
Positive Light Inc. of Los Gatos, Calif., has settled its patent infringement suit against
Coherent Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif. Under the agreement, Positive Light will enforce its US patent covering the company's laser pulse stretcher and compressor with single parameter wavelength tunability. The company has permitted Coherent and
B.M. Industries of Evry, France, to license the technology covered by the patent on a nonexclusive basis.
Positive Light provides custom laser design, as well as ultrafast, pulsed, tunable and diode-pumped solid-state laser systems, diagnostics and components.
