Hologic Acquires AEG Elektrofotografie
Hologic Inc. of Bedford, Mass., a provider of diagnostic and digital imaging systems for women’s health, has acquired AEG Elektrofotografie GmbH. Based in Warstein, Germany, the privately held company manufactures photoconductor materials and is the sole supplier of Hologic’s amorphous selenium photoconductor coatings.
The purchase price is valued at €21 million, including an exchange of approximately 110,000 shares of Hologic’s common stock. The earn-out is based upon AEG Elektrofotographie’s achieving certain revenue goals within this calendar year.
