LaserBits Inc. has launched the online LaserUniversity training site, which provides self-paced learning in various levels of laser use. Designed for users of all laser system brands, the site includes detailed descriptions of projects for CO₂ lasers, along with photographs to illustrate technical processes. Courses cover general laser use, understanding the laser system, engraving and cutting techniques, metal marking with Cermark, and the CorelDraw, PhotoPaint and PhotoGrav software programs. The format includes quizzes to check for understanding and a calculator to obtain raster settings for engraving on different materials. Subscription rates are available on the Web site.
