Aperio Expands UK Operations, Names European Sales Director

Aperio Technologies Inc. of Vista, Calif., a provider of digital pathology systems and services to the healthcare IT industry, today announced that it has expanded its operations in Europe with the opening of a new and larger operations center in Bristol, England, Aperio’s new UK offices, located at The Sanctuary in Office Park, Ham Green, Bristol, UK BS20 0DD, will serve as a base for sales, marketing, and business development activities throughout Europe, and will allow it to meet growing European demand for digital pathology, the company said. Since its inception in 1999, Aperio has installed approximately 200 digital pathology systems in 16 countries. The company also announced today the appointment of Peter Rogan as European sales director. Prior to joining Aperio, Rogan spent 18 years at Olympus UK Ltd., a manufacturer of professional optodigital products for microscopy and imaging, where he directed business development initiatives for the microscopy division and performed sales and marketing functions.
