Owis GmbH, a supplier of optical beam-handling and -positioning systems, has launched an enhanced Web site with a layout and menu structure designed to provide rapid access to product information. It includes a contact form for customers to request information through a sales engineer and a support area for access to downloadable manuals, catalogs and product folders. A tool offered is the resolution calculator, which enables users to determine the nominal resolution of a positioning unit driven by a step- or DC servomotor. Users are prompted to supply the number of lines or counts for the motor/encoder along with other mechanical parameters.
