Per Ibsen Appointed Kaleido Technology CEO
As part of its plan to develop technologies for cost-effective mass production of ultraprecision molded and machined optics, Kaleido Technology ApS of Denmark today named Per Ibsen as its
new CEO. Ibsen founded Ibsen Microstructures in 1991 and lead the company until its $80 million sale to ADC Telecommunications in 2000. Following a management buyout a year later, Ibsen served as technical director of the new company, Ibsen Photonics. Kaleido Technology ApS, a manufacturer of OEM discrete and integrated optical components and subsystems, was established by a group of research scientists from the former Ibsen Microstructures/ADC Denmark in 2001 as a spinoff of PI Consult & Invest ApS. Ibsen served as chairman of the board in the company's startup phase.
