The “2006 Optics and Optical Instruments Catalog” from Edmund Optics details more than 8000 products, including new items for UV and biophotonics applications. UV offerings range from simple lenses, windows and mirrors to complex sensors, light sources and optomechanical assemblies. The fall catalog describes TechSpec optics for use in harsh environments, high-resolution MVO large-format lenses for line- and area-scan cameras and Reflx reflective microscope objectives, which offer a long working distance, a high numerical aperture and an ultrawide spectral band with no chromatic aberration. Application notes on subjects ranging from lens design to machine vision illumination are provided.
