FLUORESCENCE FILTERS

A multimedia catalog on CD has been released by Omega Optical Inc. Titled “Precision Optical Filters for Fluorescence Microscopy,” the disc introduces the QuantaMax line of stable, durable, high signal-to-noise sets, and new filter sets for fluorescent protein and FRET applications, complementing a variety of dye-specific sets for single- and multilabel microscopy applications. The catalog includes an image gallery, live-cell movies, fluorescence image screensavers and links to Web tools such as the Curv-o-matic database of fluorophores and filter spectra, and the Build-a-filter specification and quoting tool for customization. Application notes, a fluorophore reference table, and light source and detector spectral data also are provided.
