Sofradir to Supply Large-Format IR Detectors

Sofradir, based in Chatenay-Malabry, France, has signed a $1.3 million contract with a global supplier of electro-optic space and defense systems under which it will supply large-format, 30-μm-pixel-pitch short-wave-IR detectors for hyperspectral applications in airborne platforms. Sofradir’s off-the-shelf Saturn shortwave-IR HgCdTe focal plane array has a monolithic format measuring 1000 × 256 μm, a detector spectral response of 0.8 to 2.5 μm and an operating temperature of up to 200 K. It will be used in the initial testing phase of the customer’s hyperspectral system.
