Teledyne Contracted to Develop Sensors
Teledyne Imaging Sensors of Camarillo, Calif., a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc. of Los Angeles, has been awarded a $3.8 million contract to deliver prototypes of dual-band IR imaging sensors for cameras that enable soldiers to identify battlefield threats before being detected by the enemy. The contract was awarded by Alion Science and Technology of McLean, Va., on behalf of the US Army’s Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate.
