Robotic Vision Systems Announces Layoffs
Robotic Vision Systems Inc., a manufacturer of automated 3-D machine vision systems, has reduced its worldwide work force by 140. The layoffs reflect the company's goal of reducing expenses in a sluggish semiconductor market. Reductions affected all of the company's divisions.
Robotic Vision Systems was to report a onetime $1.3 million charge for employee severance costs in the fourth quarter ending Sept. 30.
