Coherent Inc. EVP Named CEO of Santur Corp.

Santur Corp., a Fremont, Calif.-based manufacturer of tunable lasers for the global telecommunications industry, announced the appointment of Paul Meissner as CEO. Meissner, an industry veteran with over 18 years of experience in optics and semiconductors, joins Santur from Coherent Inc., where he most recently served as executive vice president of global business operations. Prior to that, Meissner held several executive management and technology positions at KLA-Tencor and Applied Materials. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs through the Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University and the Digital Visions Program at Stanford University. Meissner obtained his master's degree and doctorate in materials science and engineering from Stanford.
