Melles Griot Names Sherie Motakef Marketing Manager, Distribution Group

Photonic products supplier Melles Griot of Carlsbad, Calif., announced it has promoted Sherie Motakef to the position of marketing manager for the Melles Griot distribution group, responsible for catalog and web marketing to the company's North American and European client base. Prior to joining Melles Griot in Oct. 2003 as product manager for catalog optics, Motakef worked in marketing and business development for a variety of technology development companies. Motakef has a master's degree in materials science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate in materials science, engineering and optics from the University of Arizona.
