Synova Appoints Industry Vet Notker Kling as GM of North America
Synova of Lausanne, Switzerland, a supplier of laser solutions for industries including semiconductor, electronics, flat-panel display and industrial micromachining, today announced the appointment of Notker Kling as general manager of its North American operations. Kling will oversee Synova's two US micromachining centers (MMCs) in Boston and Fremont, Calif. (Silicon Valley), which are slated to become fully operational at the end of the first quarter of 2007. The MMCs will serve as competence centers for demonstration, sample testing and applications development. Kling has over 20 years of experience in engineering, sales and management positions at companies such as Oerlikon (formerly Unaxis) and Singulus.
