CAREER BOARD

The Laser Institute of America has established the LIA Career Center, an online job board that focuses on companies and professionals involved in industrial, medical and research applications of lasers and laser safety. Employers can post positions, search for qualified candidates based on specific criteria and create a “résumé agent” that sends résumés of potential candidates to their e-mail in-boxes. Job seekers can post résumés, browse for available positions by search criteria, review profiles of featured employers and create a “job agent” that sends notices of jobs that match their criteria to their e-mail in-boxes. Both members and nonmembers can use the resource.
