Kodak Wires Hospital with Diagnostic Image Network

Eastman Kodak Co. of Rochester, N.Y., has signed a deal with New York Hospital to install an image and information management system for diagnostic images. The company will connect the hospital's computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and nuclear medicine functions into a digital network. The system will allow physicians to transmit diagnostic images to workstations throughout the hospital. Users can also add x-ray images captured by the computed radiography system to the network.
