ioimage, Micron Add CMOS Imaging Technology to Security Camera
Security video camera maker ioimage of Herzliya, Israel, announced it has partnered with semiconductor solutions provider Micron Technology of Boise, Idaho, to develop a new 3-megapixel IP (Internet protocol) security camera with built-in video analytics to automatically detect and track intruders, vehicles and other threats. ioimage incorporated Micron Technology's CMOS imaging technology into the ioicam mmp100dn. The camera's sensor is capable of running full resolution at 15 fps and sub-windowed regions of the field of view at 30 fps or greater. To enhance safety and security for government, public and commercial applications, the camera has picture-in picture capability and pan, tilt and zoom features. The mmp100dn was launched this week at the security industry trade show ISC West in Las Vegas, Nev.
