Companies Partner to Advance Camera Modules
DxO Labs SA of Boulogne, France, has entered into a licensing and cooperative agreement with STMicroelectronics of Geneva to develop and commercialize image sensor modules incorporating DxO digital optics technology. The Swiss company’s new imaging modules will offer full autofocus functionality with no motor or moving parts, enabling DxO’s fixed-lens optics to deliver sharp images from foreground to infinity. The products initially will be used in the high-end mobile imaging market.
