MACHINE VISION

VDMA Machine Vision has released its updated reference work “Machine Vision 2007/08: Key Technology for Cost-Effective Automation Solutions: Applications-Products-Suppliers.” A “Who’s Who” of the German industry, the 84-page downloadable document presents applications of the technology, including surface inspection, measurement, robot vision, automated control of material flow, and the nonmanufacturing sectors of security, medicine and traffic control. It includes an index to suppliers as well as company profiles that provide information on core competencies, products and applications. VDMA is the German Engineering Federation. The Machine Vision group is part of the VDMA Robotics+Automation Association.
