Texas Instruments Names Larry Tan President of Asia Operations
Texas Instruments (TI) announced today that Larry Tan has been named president of its Asia operations. Tan, a 28-year TI veteran whose experience includes manufacturing, marketing and sales, will oversee three manufacturing facilities, one research and development center, two wireless support centers, six field applications engineering centers, and 19 sales and marketing offices. The company's sales in Asia increased more than 10 times in the 14 years he has led its Asia sales and marketing organization, TI said. Tan succeeds Terry Cheng, a TI employee since 1997 who is leaving in June to pursue other interests.
