Konica Minolta, GE Ally for Organic LED Lighting
Imaging specialists Konica Minolta Holdings Inc. and Konica Minolta Technology Center Inc., both in Tokyo, and lighting products supplier General Electric Co., based in Fairfield, Conn., have signed a strategic alliance agreement to speed the development and commercialization of organic LEDs for lighting applications. Their goal is to bring the technology to market within the next three years. The companies have achieved advances in the technology at the R&D level and will now pool their resources to develop the illumination.
