MEASURING MACHINES
Hexagon Metrology Inc. has released a full-color six-page brochure to represent its newly formed Portable Metrology Group, which combines the resources of dimensional inspection manufacturers Romer and Leica Geosystems. The downloadable document describes Romer’s articulating arm coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), including the Infinite model, offering infinite rotation of the principal axes for inspection in difficult-to-reach areas. It notes that Leica Geosystems’ universal CMMs employ that company’s Laser Tracker technology, enabling the devices to perform high-speed tracking of location and orientation of objects in space, for “walk around” inspection of workpieces.
