Companies to Develop Microscope Hybrid
Hyphenated Systems of Burlingame and Karma Technology Inc. of Agoura Hills, both in California, have partnered to design a combined confocal/atomic force microscope. Designed for use in the semiconductor industry, the system will accommodate wafers up to 12 in. in diameter. The device also will incorporate a replaceable probe module and a vibration-isolation platform to increase accuracy of the atomic force microscopy component.
