Microvision Receives USAF Contract
Microvision Inc. of Redmond, Wash., has been awarded $3.2 million by the US Air Force to develop a lightweight, see-through, full-color eyewear prototype for military use. The company will combine its new ultrathin optical assembly with a tiny laser projection engine, resulting in a smaller, lighter display than current technologies can produce. Details for the development, design, verification, testing and delivery of the product are all specified within the contract. Microvision is a provider of scanning technologies for display and imaging products.
