SCI Changes Name to SCI Engineered Materials
The shareholders of Superconductive Components Inc. (SCI) approved changing the corporate name to SCI Engineered Materials Inc. and re-elected five directors at the Aug. 22 annual meeting. The company said it has been using the name SCI Engineered Materials in its marketing efforts since 2003. Also at the meeting, Robert J. Baker Jr., Walter J. Doyle, Robert H. Peitz, Daniel Rooney and Edward W. Ungar were each re-elected to serve a one-year board term and shareholders approved Hausser + Taylor LLC as the company's independent public accounting firm for 2007. Based in Columbus, Ohio, SCI Engineered Materials manufactures ceramics and metals for optical, photonic, thin-film battery, and superconductor applications in the physical vapor deposition industry.
