OPTICAL TESTING
The third edition of
Optical Shop Testing describes tests that are carried out in the optical shop that are applicable to optical components and systems. It compiles research being conducted in optical engineering, encompassing changes in the field of telecommunications, including the various forms of digital networks and their testing aspects. Along with new chapters and revised material, the edition includes information on optical metrology of diffuse objects; Zernlike polynomial and wavefront fitting; mathematical representation of an optical surface and its characteristics; angle, prism, curvature and focal length measurements; and testing of aspheric wavefronts, compensators and null configurations. Part of the Wiley Series in Pure and Applied Optics, the 882-page volume includes charts, diagrams, references, an index and a CD-ROM with two programs for Windows.
