Freescale Hires Henri Richard of AMD
Freescale Semiconductor, based in Austin, Texas, announced this week it has hired Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) sales executive Henri Richard as its senior vice president, chief sales and marketing officer. Richard has more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, services and business development for US, European and Asian markets; OEM, indirect and end-user channels; and both hardware and software product segments. Before AMD, Richard's positions included executive vice president of worldwide operations at WebGain; vice president sales and marketing, worldwide distribution and E-business at IBM; and vice president, EMEA strategic accounts, for Seagate Technology. He has a bachelor's degree in science and technology from Ecole Nationale de Radiotechnique et Electronique Appliquee in Paris. Richard was sales and marketing officer at AMD since 2002.
