Adept and LMI Sign Pact on Software License

An agreement has been signed between Adept Technology Inc. of Livermore, Calif., a provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and services, and LMI Technologies Inc. of Delta, British Columbia, Canada, a provider of vision sensor technology. Under the terms of the agreement, Adept will provide LMI with a license to its HexSight software and trademark, which will allow the latter company to market and support the product. Also, the Canadian company will provide Adept access to its technology and will incorporate HexSight’s pattern-matching technology into its embedded platforms.
