Danaher Motion has launched the Linear Motioneering Web-based linear motion system sizing and selection tool to help OEM and factory automation users optimize machine design and operation. Through an intuitive series of steps, it helps them to select the Thomson slide table actuator that best fits their applications. Users are asked to enter application parameters such as system orientation, positioning and load requirements, environmental conditions and a move profile. The tool provides 3-D computer-aided design models in multiple formats, motor requirements, life and safety factor calculations, lead time and pricing information. The recommended system is assigned a part number to facilitate ordering.
