Greg Guidroz Appointed AOI CFO

Greg Guidroz was appointed chief financial officer at Applied Optoelectronics Inc. (AOI), a Sugar Land, Texas, manufacturer of laser diodes, photodetectors and optical modules for fiber optic communications systems, the company announced today. Guidroz has over 30 years of experience in financial management, more recently as vice president of finance for Tanox Inc., a Houston biotechnology company specializing in the development of monoclonal antibodies, which was recently acquired by Genentech. Applied Optoelectronics announced in April that it raised $28 million in private funding that it would use to expand production capacity and product development.
