Kotura and CyOptics Awarded $5.9 Million
Kotura Inc. of Monterey Park, Calif., and CyOptics Inc. of Breinigsville, Pa., have been awarded $5.9 million by the US Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology. The award will fund a three-year project to develop terabit photonic integrated circuits, with an ultimate goal of creating optical laser and receiver components for transmission speeds of up to 1 Tb per second.
