MULTIMODE FIBER

A data sheet titled “Multimode Mid Infrared Fiber” is available from IRphotonics. Downloadable from the company Web site, the document notes that the fiber has an extremely low hydroxyl ion content, providing high transmission efficiency from the UV through the mid-IR wavelengths, up to 4.5 μm. A graph shows typical spectral attenuation. Applications include remote spectroscopy and power laser delivery systems.
