Northrop Grumman Names New Division Managers

Defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. announced today it has named Joseph J. Ensor as vice president and general manager of its new Space & ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) Systems Div. within the company's Electronic Systems sector, and also appointed Jeffrey Q. Palombo as sector vice president and general manager of the new Land Forces Div. Both appointments are effective immediately. Space & ISR Systems combines Electronic Systems' C4ISR Networked Systems and Space Sensors & Exploitation Systems businesses. It will be based in Baltimore and also has facilities in Azusa, Calif.; and Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colo. Ensor has held a number of positions in engineering, logistics and program management since joining the company in 1979. In 2005, he was named vice president of Combat Avionics Systems. For the past year, he has served as vice president of Space Sensors and Exploitation Systems. Palombo joined Northop Grumman in 2003 as site director of the company's Amherst Systems business unit in Buffalo, N.Y., where he was responsible for the development of laboratory stimulation and open-air range simulation training systems. Since 2006, he has served as vice president of infrared countermeasures (IRCM) for the Defensive Systems Div. in Rolling Meadows, Ill. In his new position, Palombo will oversee land forces, communications systems and laser systems programs at facilities in Apopka, Fla.; Baltimore; Cincinnati; Garland, Texas; Gaithersburg, Md; Huntsville, Ala; Rolling Meadows, Ill.; Tempe, Ariz; and Troy Hill, Md.
