Spectrum Thin Films Moves to Larger Facility
Spectrum Thin Films Inc., formerly of Bohemia, N.Y., has moved to a new, larger facility at 135 Marcus Blvd., Hauppague, N.Y. The optics company's equipment includes a dual ion beam deposition system equipped with automated software control, two radio frequency (RF)-powered ion sources and three target materials, enabling the production of complex coatings. Film deposition is acheived with the 16-cm-diameter RF ion source; the 12-cm-diameter RF assist source is focused on substrate and primarily corrects film stoichiometry and alleviates stress in producing films.
