Light Blue Optics Opens US Facility in Colorado
Light Blue Optics (LBO), a Cambridge, England, developer of holographic laser projection technology, has opened an engineering and business development facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., following a $26 million Series A funding round in October, to further its miniature projection systems production and marketing. David Bolt recently joined LBO as vice president of engineering. Bolt has previously worked for Philips Electronics and Plasmon. LBO's director of business development, Edward Buckley, PhD, has been promoted to vice president of business development for North America and Asia. Both are based at the Colorado Springs office. LBO demonstrated its miniature projection systems at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show held recently in Las Vegas.
