OSA Offers Scholarship Program
The Optical Society of America (OSA) Foundation in Washington, which supports programs that advance youth science and optics education, has partnered with the Harvey M. Pollicove Memorial Fund of Rochester, N.Y. They will offer the $4000 Harvey M. Pollicove Memorial Scholarship to a student who is pursuing a degree in the field of precision optics manufacturing. The first scholarship will be awarded in the fall. To be eligible, the applicant must be accepted to or enrolled in an optics manufacturing program at a participating institution and must intend to work in the US optics industry. Applicants do not have to be US citizens.
