Seiko and Varioptic Sign Agreement

Seiko Instruments Inc. of Chiba, Japan, a manufacturer of semiconductors and flat panel displays, and Varioptic Lyon of Lyon, France, a developer of autofocus lenses for the camera phone industry, have signed a cooperation agreement. The companies will collaborate to develop, manufacture and market the French company’s liquid lens products for the camera module, bar-code and Web camera markets.
