THIN-FILM COATING

Reynard Corp. has released a full-color brochure that presents a profile of the company as well as of its capabilities in the design and manufacture of thin-film optical components. The four-page publication lists the coating types and substrates offered. It describes facilities for the production of coatings for aerospace, defense and military applications, along with optical and mechanical fabrication equipment, including computer numerical control mills and large continuous polishers. It notes that the company can pattern most coatings on glass, plastic and ceramics using standard photoresist technology with geometries as fine as 5.0 μm. Engineering design services are outlined.
