Rick Passek Joins Laser Design as Sales Manager

Minneapolis-based Laser Design Inc., a supplier of 3-D laser scanners for reverse engineering and inspection applications, announced it has hired Rick Passek as sales manager, responsible for building and managing the company's equipment sales, primarily in the US. Passek has more than 25 years of experience with CAD/CAM companies such as Camax Systems, Zycad, and Structural Dynamics Research Corp. Most recently, he worked as a reseller of SolidWorks software. The company also announced that its Seattle Technical Center has added a new software engineer to assist Jean-Louis Dethier, PhD, corporate scientist, in developing Surveyor Scan Control software, including motion control, laser probe drivers, and software plug-ins.
