US Budget Requests $702 Million for Technology Administration
President Clinton has proposed that the
US Department of Commerce's Technology Administration receive nearly $702 million as part of the Fiscal 1998 budget. The proposed appropriations include $692.5 million for the
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Included in the NIST funding are the Advanced Technology Program, the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Scientific & Technical Research and Services, and the construction and renovation of research facilities.
