Optics/Photonics Golf Tourney Tees Off July 17

The eighth annual Western New York (WNY) Optics/Photonics Golf Tournament will be held July 17 in the Rochester, N.Y., suburb of Penfield on the courses at Shadow Lake Golf and Racquet Club and Shadow Pines Golf Club, event co-sponsor Angstrom Precision Optics of Rochester announced. Angstrom President Ron Schulmerich and his wife, Diane, are co-chairs of the event. Tournament proceeds will benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester; over the last seven years the event has raised more than $43,500 for the hospital. Last year 225 people from 75 optics and photonics companies based in western New York and around the US participated.
