Coherent to Sell Auburn Optics Assets

Coherent Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has signed an agreement to sell assets of its Auburn Optics manufacturing operation to Research Electro-Optics Inc. of Boulder, Colo. As part of the agreement, the Colorado-based company will provide optical manufacturing capabilities for Coherent. The transaction is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2009.
