Picarro Expands Sales, Marketing Team

Iain Green, PhD, and Mark Davis have joined Picarro Inc. as director of marketing and vice president of sales, respectively. Picarro, of Sunnyvale Calif., makes gas trace analyzers based on wavelength-scanned cavity ring down spectroscopy (WS-CRDS) for applications such as atmospheric and environmental monitoring, "green" energy development and semiconductor fabrication. Green has more than 10 years of experience in the field of analytical instruments, including spectroscopy instrument sales and marketing. He was formerly senior marketing manager of nuclear magnetic resonance products for Varian and has a chemistry PhD from the University of London. Davis has held various executive and sales leadership positions in analytical instrumentation since 1989. Most recently, he was director of US sales for Hach Co., a division of Danaher Corp. which manufactures and distributes analytical instruments and reagents used to verify and control the quality of water in municipal and industrial markets. He has an MS in management of technology from Georgia Institute of Technology.
