GE Healthcare Wins FDA OK for CT Scanner
The LightSpeed CT750 HD from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, UK, a transformational medical technology provider, has received FDA clearance. The high-definition CT scanner delivers the vision and tools to allow clinicians to diagnose quickly and confidently, while reducing the radiation dose by up to 50 percent across the entire body and by as much as 83 percent for cardiac scans. Its spatial resolution allows it to reduce calcium blooming artifacts, enabling accurate stenosis quantification.
