StockerYale to Pursue Virtek Vision Acquisition
StockerYale Inc. of Salem, N.H., has announced its intention to make an offer to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of Virtek Vision International Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The former company has announced two possible transactions for the acquisition: If an agreement can be reached with the Canadian company’s board of directors, StockerYale will pay 0.70 CAD per common share in cash and stock; if an agreement is not reached, a takeover bid for 100 percent of the stock, for 0.65 CAD per share in cash, will be pursued.
