Veeco Acquires Mill Lane

Veeco Instruments Inc. of Plainview, N.Y., a provider of solutions for the solar, semiconductor and industrial markets, has acquired Mill Lane Engineering of Lowell, Mass., a manufacturer of web coating systems for flexible solar panels. The purchase price, paid at closing, was $11 million, with potential additional payments based on the satisfaction of particular future conditions such as profit levels.
